The value of Integrated Geospatial and Building Information Modelling (BIM)
In 2015, Member States of the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, inclusive of its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as a call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. The white paper of World Federation of Engineering Organizations stresses on the use of geospatial and engineering technologies (supported by relevant case studies) for building resilient and sustainable communities across three SDG goals – Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; and Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and Goal 13: Climate Action.
